Traffic delays likely on A31

By Farnham Herald in Transport

SURREY County Council is set to undertake cyclical works on the A31 Farnham bypass next week, with ensuing traffic delays likely.

The work, which includes litter picking, grass cutting, strimming and gully cleaning, is set to take in two phases between Monday, May 15. and Wednesday, May 17.

The first phase will see a lane of the bypass closed between the Hampshire county boundary and Coxbridge roundabout, followed by a second lane closure between Coxbridge and Hickleys Corner.

Roadworks are also expected to cause delays in Wrecclesham, Rowledge and Seale next week.

Little Green Lane, running parallel to St Peter’s School in Wrecclesham, will be closed for ‘anti-skid’ work by Surrey council on Monday, May 15.

This will be followed by a closure of Rowledge High Street between Manley Bridge Road and Fullers Road on Monday and Tuesday (May 15 and 16) for resurfacing works.

Finally, Sands Road in Seale will also close between Littleworth Road and Blighton Lane for resurfacing from Tuesday, May 16, to Thursday, May 18.
