Cyclists get into gear for 10-mile ride

By Farnham Herald in Community News

SEVENTEEN cyclists aged seven to over 80 took to the roads for a leisurely ride led by Cycling UK Alton.

They all tackled a 10-mile route that took in Anstey Park, Holybourne and Mill Court before stopping for well-earned refreshments at Mill Farm Organic in Isington.

The group returned via Binsted, Holybourne, Anstey Park and back roads to Alton Community Centre.

Ride leader Janice Montgomery said: “The

easy-paced rides being organised by Cycling UK Alton this summer aim to attract new cyclists who may not have ridden much before, and who enjoy riding with others.

“Everyone who rode with us today said they are interested in coming out on our next ride.”

Saturday, August 26, is the date to pencil in for the next 10-mile ride. Riders will meet at 10am outside Alton Community Centre.
