HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A331 near North Camp.
Officers were called to the scene on the northbound carriageway, prior to the A3011 junction, shortly after midnight this morning (April 17), but say the collision itself could have happened much earlier.
A silver Peugeot 206 had left the carriageway and collided with trees.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Tongham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and formal identification procedures remain ongoing at this time.
The road was closed by police overnight, with earlier reports suggesting queues were stretching as far as the Shepherd and Flock Roundabout in Farnham. The road should be open again shortly.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw this vehicle on the road any time between 10.20pm last night and 12.20am.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Data.
