HAMPSHIRE Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after two men were punched in the face in Alton last weekend.

At around 1am on Saturday, March 30, two men and a woman were all subjected to verbal abuse from a man they did not know at a pub in Market Square.

The man was part of another group of men.

When the victims left the pub, they were followed by the group of men before one member of the group punched the male victims in the face, knocking one to the floor.

This man was described as white, stocky, 5ft 9ins tall, aged 19 to 21 years old, with dark, spiked up hair which was shaved on the sides.

He was described as wearing a distinctive red long-sleeved top with a collar, and black skinny jeans.

A police spokesman said: "We are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or can help us identify the man responsible or the group he was with, to get in touch with us.
