AN ATTEMPTED break-in took place at the Tindle Newspapers office in Bordon on Friday.
Home to the Bordon Herald, The Messenger, Post Gazette and Surrey & Hants News, sales manager Kelly Mitchell received a call to say the alarm had been triggered. She arrived at around 8.15pm and there were “three police officers and four or five teenage boys” outside the front of the office on High Street.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman confirmed they were called to a “report of an alarm sounding” at around 7.40pm.
They added: “Officers attended and the building was found to be safe and secure.
“As part of their enquiries, officers stop checked a teenage boy found near to the building.
“No arrests were made.”
