Boy arrested on suspicion of robbery after elderly man threatened at knifepoint

HAMPSHIRE Constabulary have arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of robbery, after an elderly man was threatened at knifepoint in Alton.

The police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident, which occurred on Thursday, July 9 at around 5.54pm at the cricket grounds in Four Marks.

The man was approached by the suspect, who pulled out what the man believed to be a knife and threatened him.

Nothing was taken from the gentleman during the incident, and he did not receive any injuries.

The suspect has been released under investigation, with enquiries ongoing.
