Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries in an incident this afternoon.

Officers were called at 12.50pm on Sunday, May 11 following reports that a man in his 70s had come off his bicycle on Oxenbourne Lane, close to the junction with Harvesting Lane in East Meon.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the cyclist was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Hampshire Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who was driving in the area and may have relevant dash-cam footage, to come forward.
