Four people were hurt – three seriously – in a head-on crash on the B3349 New Odiham Road in Shalden on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called just before 3pm to the three-vehicle collision involving a Nissan Note and Honda Civic, which were both travelling northbound on the B3349, and a Ford Transit van driving in the opposite direction.

Three people suffered serious injuries, two men in their 30s and 40s and a woman in her 80s, and one person, a woman in her 70s, suffered minor injuries in the collision.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who can assist. 

“We are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a black Volkswagen who we believe may have witnessed the incident but had not been able to remain at the scene for us to talk with.
