POLICE have urged motorists to be vigilant after a spate of incidents in which vehicles have been damaged in Alton.

A number of cars parked along Butts Road and Chawton Park Road have been targeted.

“We are at this stage appealing for witnesses to any suspicious activity in the early hours of Saturday, August 13,” PCSO James Merrell said. “We are increasing patrols around the town at these times to reduce the likelihood of further incidents.

“We are also exploring all avenues of investigation and encourage all victims to report damage caused to their

property.”
