BRITISH Transport Police have arrested two men following a burglary at Alton train station this morning.

Officers were called to the scene at 2.30am after reports of a break-in. Two cash boxes containing unknown sums of money were taken.

A police spokesman said: “Following enquiries, two men, a 26-year-man from Alton and a 21-year-old man also from Alton, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in custody.”
