THE Parish of the Resurrection’s annual Christmas Tree Festival takes place this weekend (December 7 and 8) in St Lawrence Church.

As in previous years, the church will be filled with trees decorated by local charities and organisations, community groups, retailers and school children - each one bearing its own Christmas message.

A memory tree will have a special place in the side chapel for those who wish to write and display a message for those loved ones whom they miss especially at Christmas time.

There will be seasonal organ music and carol singing throughout both days and a welcoming range of refreshments provided by the church team.

Open to the public from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, there will be no charge made for entry although donations are welcome.
