ALRESFORD Art Society is in need of a new treasurer to support this thriving organisation.

Founded 50 years ago, the Society is one of the largest member organisations in the town.

Apart from regular member meetings from September to June which showcase speakers and demonstrators in every medium, the Society runs painting days in the summer, workshops in the winter, and five classes a week during term time in watercolour, oil, life and portraiture.

“Our new treasurer doesn’t need to know anything about art,” said chairman Sue Gentry, “but needs to have a head for figures, be an excellent record keeper, and preferably have experience of online banking.”
