A TEENAGER who battered an Alton man in a late-night town centre attack has failed in a Court of Appeal challenge to his conviction.
Rhys Brudenell, 19, of Frensham Lane, Lindford, was one of two men who attacked Thomas Kellaway outside Alton library late on July 3, 2010.
He denied even being there, but was found guilty by a Winchester Crown Court jury last February of causing GBH and given a suspended sentence.
At the Court of Appeal in London on Tuesday, three top judges said his attempt to overturn the conviction had "no merit" and kicked out his case. Lord Justice Richards said Mr Kellaway was left needing surgery after suffering a fractured nose and eye socket.
