THE University of Winchester will host a talk by author and publisher Beverley Birch next week.

Beverley will give a talk entitled ‘So you Want to Write Children’s Books?’ at the university next Tuesday, April 11, as part of a series run by the Hampshire Writers’ Society.

She will share information on her books, her writing career, creative writing specifically for children, and the publishing industry.

Author of novels, picture books, biographies, retellings of classic works, and collaborations with her husband, photographer Nick Birch, Beverley has been nominated for the Carnegie medal, and shortlisted for several other awards, both in the UK and abroad.

The Hampshire Writers’ Society meets in the Stripe Building on the main University of Winchester Campus on the second Tuesday evening of every month at 7.30pm. The talks are free to Society members and students, while tickets are priced £5 for the public.
