THE?Alton, Petersfield and district branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society held its annual barbecue at Lindford village hall.

Last month’s event was funded by a donation from the Santander Foundation, which was awarded after the Alton and Petersfield branch was nominated by one of Santander Bank’s customers in Petersfield for a Community Plus Award.

This award allowed invitations to the event to be extended to families and friends of those in the area affected by the life-limiting condition.

Fifty-five guests enjoyed good food supplied by Paul and his team from RKdia, a local organisation specifically formed to serve the community through providing great catering at affordable prices while helping young people gain skills and experience in hospitality.

And children were entertained with face painting and a bouncy castle, generously provided by one of their supporters.

“Grateful thanks are extended to Santander Bank, RKdia, Marstons, Little Treasures, Lindford Spar shop and Lindford Parish Council whose contributions made this such a successful and enjoyable event,” said a district branch spokesman.
