IN tribute to the ladies who Dare to Bare‚ the charity that raises money for cancer research, The Hop Poles pub in Alton held a special launch party to celebrate the photograph included in this year’s calendar which was taken at the pub.

Some of Alton ladies who posed for the picture – naked but discreetly hidden behind the beer pumps – were also at the Mount Pleasant Road pub to enjoy a fun evening which included a disco and a raffle which raised money for the charity. Last year the pub raised £1,600.

Twenty new ladies posed for this year’s calendar alongside several who featured last year, while different locations were used, including a couple of outdoor shoots where one lady was even brave enough to be photographed on the back of a horse.

The last shoot was at Old Thorns Manor Hotel Golf and Country Estate at Griggs Green in December.

Now in the printing stage, there will be an initial run is of 300 copies but if interest and pre-orders look good more will be printed to meet demand and raise more money for the charity.
