WILLOW and Oak classes at St Lawrence Primary School in Alton performed their Nativity to parents and friends.

Mary decided to knit a new blanket for her forthcoming baby. The ride on the donkey all the way to Bethlehem made it very tricky for her. Her needles kept going 'clickty click' all the way along the bumpy track.

The children told the story through songs, with able musicians from both classes helping to keep the beat. And yes, the blanket was finished in time - phew!
