KATE Dando and her friend, Sally May, had fun going blue for charity.
The idea, they said, “caused must interest and amusement amongst our friends”.
Doing their bit to help, Cholily’s Tea Rooms in Lenten Street, sold cup cakes topped with blue icing and, Kate said: “The whole day proved to be great fun.
“So many have had experience of a loved one or friend with dementia that the support and generosity was overwhelming.”
Donations will be shared between the national Alzheimer’s Society for research and the local group who support dementia patients, their family and friends.
