Brightwells Yard has long been searching for an anchor tenant, and Cazaro Lounge may be just the sort of place it needs.

Farnham residents have waited a long time to see the old Brightwells House brought back into use, so the announcement that Cazaro Lounge was coming to the building was met with considerable excitement.

Now that it has finally opened, visitors can discover what the venue has to offer.

Cazaro Lounge has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that caters for a wide range of occasions, whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, a drink after work, or somewhere to unwind after a workout.

On my visit on September 28, there was a good mix of customers. Aldershot fans were enjoying drinks ahead of their game against Harrogate, while families and friends were catching up over food and drinks. It is this broad appeal that makes Cazaro Lounge particularly well suited to Brightwells Yard.

There are also plenty of offers throughout the week to attract customers, including Cheeky Monday and Tapas Tuesday, while the Cocktail Club runs every day from 5pm until close.

Prices are reasonable, and the food and drinks service is prompt despite the casual atmosphere.

One thing to be aware of is that food and drinks need to be ordered at the bar rather than at the table. While this fits with the informal nature of the venue, it is worth bearing in mind if you are expecting table service.

Overall, Cazaro Lounge feels like the sort of venue Brightwells needed: somewhere that can attract customers at different times of the day and encourage them to stay, eat, drink and explore the other businesses the development has to offer.
