GRAYSHOTT Primary School pupil Brooke Garland has held her fourth cake sale in aid of Children With Cancer.
Brooke baked some of the cakes herself, with friends and family donating more.
Her five-year old brother Rory also said he would like to be involved, so with the help of their mum, Karen Musco, Rory baked some cupcakes and cookies.
As in previous years, Brooke’s grandma and grandad, Annie and Chris Garland, kindly offered use of their garden for the event.
This year, unlike last, the weather was perfect for a garden party where everyone could enjoy tea and cake with friends, some of whom they hadn’t seen in a while.
For those who were short on time they could pop in and buy cake to take home.
Some people were so well prepared for this event they brought their own cake boxes/tins to take cakes home.
At the end of the afternoon there were a few cakes left. Karen and Brooke plated them up and took them to people who couldn’t make the cake sale, which generated more donations.
Brooke’s aim, as usual, was to beat the previous year’s total. She was delighted when she found the event had raised another £600 for Children With Cancer. This brings her total over four years to £1,654.
