IT IS HARD to believe it has been 15 years since we were welcomed in to the Grayshott community.

What started off as a hobby to occupy Mani during his retirement has turned out to be, at times, challenging but nevertheless a hugely-enjoyable experience.

We are extremely grateful to the Grayshott community and our customers for their continued support over the past 15 years – thank you.

Throughout that time, we have been privileged to host birthdays, wedding receptions and anniversary parties, as well as numerous charity and fundraising events.

We are exceedingly grateful for your support and generosity.

Without your patronage, the events would not have been the success they were.

We hope we have provided a convivial atmosphere and introduced you to the unique Nepali cuisine.

It would be remiss of me not to mention some of the more notable events.

The ones that stand out the most are the generosity shown by the village when we raised £6,500 for the Nepal earthquake appeal on behalf of the Gurkha Welfare Trust in 2015 and, more recently, The Prostate Project raising £770 which was well supported by Grayshott businesses.

Sudha’s tireless efforts to raise funds for various charities have attracted customers from all over the south of England.

The International Women’s Day is now a firm fixture in The Gurkha Durbar calendar and we look forward to your continued support.

We were also able to support Grayshott events like Sunday Funday, Lunch in the Square, Grayshott market and various events in the village hall.

We hope our small contribution has enriched the lives of Grayshott and the surrounding area.

The coronavirus has brought on some extremely hard times and, as always, we have been striving to serve you better by implementing online ordering and ramped up our delivery service to be able to continue to serve our customers with hot curry at your doors.

To all of our customers who have dined with us throughout the past 15 years – either in the restaurant or have taken advantage of our delivery/takeaway service – we say dherai dhanyabhad (thank you very much!) and look forward to continuing our friendship with you in the future.

Think curry, think Gurkha Durbar!
