Staff from Hi-Speed Services will take part in this year’s virtual London Marathon today (Sunday) to raise funds for the Farnham-based charity Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end-of-life care for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness.

Hi-Speed Services is an international courier and logistics company, and staff will run from the office to The Swan pub – which is a mile away, and back, 13 times.

The team has so far raised £1,200 of its £2,000 target.

“Hi-Speed are always on the move – but this time we’ll be using our legs,” said Martin Williams, transport manager at Hi-Speed Services.

“We’re massive supporters of Phyllis Tuckwell and have been for a long time, and we’re really looking forward to taking on the London Marathon on home turf and raising some money for this incredible local charity. Phyllis Tuckwell does such an amazing job and we’re proud to be supporting them.”

“We would like to say a huge thank you and good luck to everyone from Hi-Speed who is taking part in the virtual London Marathon,” said Fiona Chapman, events fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell.

“We really appreciate their support in helping to raise the vital funds which pay for the care we provide – £2,000 could pay for more than two weeks’ care from one of our occupational therapists.”
