THE TRELOAR Trust has received £1,678 from CALA Homes’ community bursary initiative.

Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training for young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK and overseas. Its aim is to prepare these young people for adult life, giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.

The £1,678 donation will go towards three TinyTrax early years wheelchairs, which offer young disabled children the chance to be independently mobile.

Lucie Barker, corporate fundraiser at Treloar Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful to CALA Homes for supporting our TinyTrax appeal and enabling us to purchase our first chairs.

“We can’t wait to have them delivered to campus so our young people will be able to start benefiting from them right away.”

CALA Homes, which is building Haycroft in Crondall, has given organisations, charities and community groups the opportunity to apply for a share of £10,000 to help fund projects.

Alison Deakin, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes (Thames), said: “We are delighted to be supporting the work of the Treloar Trust. At CALA Homes, we are committed to making a lasting contribution to the communities in which we build, and the community bursary is a way of supporting those projects that matter most to local people.”
