A FAMILIAR name will kickstart an exciting concert programme of music in a Petersfield church this weekend.
Southern Pro Musica will return to St Peter’s tonight (February 10) for a Baroque by Candlelight concert.
The visitors are no strangers to the venue as they’ve held annual concerts in the parish church for nearly 40 years.
Classical fans are in for a treat with orchestral Baroque masterpieces, Bach and Handel on the playlist.
They concert will include renditions of Water Music Suite in F, Suite No. 1 in C and a selection of arias from famous operas of the same period.
Charlotte Bowden will be the evening’s soprano with Jonathan Willcocks conducting amid the glow of hundreds of candles.
