THE garden at Gilbert White’s House in Selborne will be the venue on Sunday (September 3) for the museum’s second annual dog show.

There will be a lot of fun for all four-legged and two-legged visitors, including an obstacle course, fastest recall, obedience, water retrieve, gun dog scurry, plus a nonanza 15 class novelty show.

Open from 10.30am to 5pm, admission to the show is free and entry to each canine competition category is £2. Registration is from 11am and judging starts at 12.30pm.

In addition, there will be a range of stalls including Dry Si – the cartoonist, Friends of Many Tears Animal Rescue, Luffs Farm Shop, Laura de Zordo – Turquoise, Silver And Copper Jewellery, Fiona’s Doggy Treats, Pet Photography, and Hampshire Countryside Services.

Refreshments will be available for both human and doggy consumption.

The event will be fundraising for Gilbert White & The Oates Collections, as well as Many Tears Animal Rescue.
