CARDS for Good Causes at Haslemere Museum was officially opened on Monday by the town’s mayor, Councillor Simon Dear.

It will be open Mondays to Saturdays, between 10am and 4.30pm, until December 14th.

Cards for Good Causes is selling Christmas cards from a variety of charities including Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation, Help for Heroes, Parkinson’s, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Shelter and the World Wide Fund for Nature, with all the profits from the sales going back to the charities. Gift wrap, labels and a selection of Christmas and seasonal gifts are also available.

Maggie Monteath, manager of the shop, said: "It will be so good to be back at the museum with so many of our wonderful volunteers. We hope to see our loyal customers and many new ones as we have so many worthwhile charities who need support.

"Cards for Good Causes have ensured that as many as possible of the cards and gift wrap are able to be recycled. We know our customers care about the environment and plastic pollution."
