The East Hants CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year has now also been crowned the Hampshire CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year.
Cassidy’s Bar in Alton High Street received the county award on October 17 to go with the district one it collected in April.
CAMRA Hampshire county organiser Caroline Walsh presented the certificate to Luke and Becca Cassidy to applause from a packed bar.
Cassidy’s always offers at least a dozen ciders and perries made purely from the whole juice of freshly pressed apples or pears, without added sugar, often from local producers such as Blackmoor.
Caroline reminded regulars and visitors of “the importance of supporting such gems as Cassidy’s”, which also lays on community events including puppy clubs, craft workshops, live music and drag bingo.
