Charlotte Cooper, 15, filmed an online campaign for the Children’s Society last month.
She was so affected by the work of the charity that she refused her professional acting fee, instead donating all of it back to the charity.
Charlotte said: “There are still so many children in our country who face exploitation and neglect and I am completely in awe of the brilliant work the Children’s Society do to support them through such challenges.
“Their Give Hope campaign is particularly poignant at Christmas as every donation goes directly to their support worker who will buy a child books, food and essentials, or even a trip to the cinema at Christmas.
“The Children’s Society needs us to give hope by donating a gift to a young person today, so we can help a child feel happier, safer and more hopeful. I hope my donation will bring a smile to less-fortunate children.”
Royal School headteacher Pippa Smithson said: “Charlotte joined the Royal School, Haslemere, relatively recently and immediately established herself as a talented actress with a big heart.
“At the Royal School, we encourage our pupils to stand up for what they believe in and to make a difference where they can. A small donation can make the world of difference to a neglected child this Christmas, and that is exactly what Charlotte has done.”
A spokesperson for the Children’s Society said: “We are really thankful of Charlotte’s donation of her modelling fee back to the Children’s Society as part of the Give Hope campaign.
“We directly support thousands of children and right now the demand for our services is greater than ever.
“That’s why we’re asking those who can to give hope by donating a gift.”
