TOP chef Richard Holden will be in town this Saturday to help open the new showrooms for Alton Barn Kitchens.
Located on Station Road, the premises will be officially opened at 11am by Alton’s deputy mayor, Dean Phillips, followed by a demonstration from professional chef Mr Holden.
Since 2012, he has toured the UK demonstrating and teaching people to cook and has led cooking demonstrations at some of the UK’s top foodie events, including CarFest and Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival.
It was Richard’s overflowing passion for British food and teaching others how easy it is to cook, that led him to launch his own cookery school in 2015.
In his free time, Richard volunteers with the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, fundraising for their Fifteen apprentice programme and passing on the skills he’s learned to the young people on the course, continuing to inspire others through his love of food.
Harry Souter, the owner of Alton Barn Kitchens, has more than 12 years of kitchen design experience, working for some of the industries leading companies, the past five years with top manufacturer Omega PLC, as their chief representative in Surrey and Hampshire.
