A WINE importer has just been made a Chevalier of the Confrerie des Vins de Sainte Foy Bordeaux.

Alan Snudden (pictured), from The General Wine Company, received the honour and recognition for 20 years as an ambassador representing and selling the wines of the region.

Wines shipped from this region are mainly from Chateau Carbonneau, producing excellent white, rose and a range of reds, sold in The General Wine Company’s shops in Liphook and Petersfield, as well as in some of the best pubs, hotels and restaurants across the south.

Alan said: “I have always loved the region since beginning in the trade over 30 years ago, so this is a proud moment for myself and everyone at the company.

“We look forward to many more years promoting the vinous wonders from the eastern side of Bordeaux.”
