ALTON Community Centre has been awarded £5,000 by East Hampshire District Council to support a £21,000 programme of improvements to encourage people to use it and improve disabled access. Made under EHDC's Community Grants scheme, this initial funding will help the administration system, create additional downstairs meeting space which will be available for hire, and heat the garden room.
