ALTON Town Council has invited residents and business owners to attend an open forum at Alton Assembly Rooms next week.

This new drop-in session, on Wednesday, October 12, from 7pm-8.30pm, will enable folk to chat informally with council members on matters concerning the town.

Town clerk Leah Coney said: “The council is keen to meet those who may be less familiar with the remit of the council, are unable to attend council meetings, or those who wish to chat to their ward members.”

Light refreshments will be provided and the Alton Art Society’s annual art exhibition will also feature.
