ALTON Town Council looks set to raise a precept of £448,000 for the year 2012/13 which, allowing for a small growth in housing stock, will represent an increase of approximately one-third of a per cent on this year's precept of £442,000.

By comparison Petersfield Town Council's precept is expected to show an increase of 9.9 per cent and Whitehill Town Council a rise of 5.87 per cent.
