A STAFFORDSHIRE bull terrier being walked by a Farnham man across fields in Bentley at the weekend was shot dead by a farmer after it killed one of his cows.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning as the unnamed man was walking his son's dog along a footpath near Marelands.
