AN INTERNATIONAL quartet of up-and-coming classical musicians will perform a lunchtime recital at the Farnham Maltings today (Saturday).

The Maltings, in association with Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, presents popular lunchtime recitals from young performers at the beginning of their professional careers.

The Creation Quartet is a chamber group of four international artists, friends brought together while studying at Trinity Laban. Maltese violinist Samuel Cutajar, English violinist Gregory Scotland, Indian violist Joy Peter and Spanish cellist Georgina Viu will be joined at the Maltings by award-winning guitarist Kolja Gibbs.

They will perform Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in E flat Op.33 No. 2 ‘The Joke IV’. Presto, Luigi Boccherini’s Guitar Quintet in D minor, and Robert Schumann’s String Quartet in A Op.41 No.3.
