ALTON Cricket Club are celebrating after receiving grants for new equipment. Funds from Hampshire Cricket in the Community (£4,000) and Southern Electric Premier Cricket League (£700) have gone toward covers for the second pitch at Jubilee Fields where they play home matches, a Bowdry machine to remove surface water, and a heavy roller.  Club captain Graeme Hughes said: "The new equipment is a great addition to the club and has allowed us to play more matches, particularly women's and younger cricket. We are all extremely grateful to Hampshire Cricket in the Community and Southern Electric Premier Cricket League for the financial support to enable the club to purchase the new equipment."
