THREE generations of family gathered in Alton to celebrate the 100th birthday of Denis Allsop.

Born in Leicester, Denis joined the RAF and saw service during the Second World War in Africa and Scotland. On leaving the RAF, he joined British European Airways for a career lasting 35 years.

He is now a resident of Brendoncare in Alton, where he is said by his relatives to be happy and enjoying the care he is being given.

Mr Allsop, who used to live on Blackberry Lane in Four Marks, is pictured with his stepdaughter Hazel Cox and stepson Peter Hoskyn.
