The parents of 14-year-old Four Marks chef Dexter Olejarka will be in Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Greg and Karen Olejarka and their company Crane Feasts are being prosecuted by Hampshire County Council over Dexter’s role on their food truck.
The charge is that on or around January 30 this year and thereafter, in and around Hampshire, the Olejarkas and Crane Feasts knowingly and continually allowed Dexter to be employed unlawfully and contrary to Hampshire County Council’s by-laws, as permitted by the Children and Young Persons Act 1933, that no child of any age may be employed within a commercial kitchen.
The Herald spoke to Karen Olejarka yesterday afternoon but she declined to comment until after the hearing.
