COUNTRYWATCH police officers are urging dog owners to ensure they keep their pets under control after a dog went on the rampage on Friday morning, killing six ewes and nine lambs and injuring around 25 more. The flock of sheep were chased and attacked by a dog at Gaston Lane, Upper Farringdon, near Alton. Having been in sheep farming for the past 15 years, Andrew and Trish Martin were shocked to the core by the carnage they faced on arriving at around 9.30am to check on the 100-strong flock.
