THE high price of fuel at the town's two petrol stations is beginning to grate on motorists.
Sainsbury's on Drayman's Way and the independently-owned BP on Butt's Road came under fire as resident Marion Blythe said: "I was horrified to find on filling up at Sainsbury's in Watford, just north of London, a price difference of six pence a litre. It was 112.9p a litre there, while here in Sainsbury's in Alton it is 118.9p."
