AN ALTON woman has admitted driving when more than four times over the legal drink-drive limit in Lower Turk Street last summer.

Georgina King, 52, of Plumpton Way, Alton, pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on December 30 and is awaiting sentencing.

It comes after she was found to have 351 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, above the legal limit of 80 milligrammes, after driving a Ford Ka in Lower Turk Street, Alton, on August 6, 2021.

She has been released on unconditional bail ahead of her next appearance at the same court on January 24.
