The National Trust is hosting Easter Adventure in Nature trails next month which end with a chocolate egg. Trails cost £3 per person and the Easter eggs are made in the UK using cocoa responsibly sourced from farms certified by the Rainforest Alliance.
At Hindhead Commons and the Devil’s Punch Bowl trails will be held from April 9 to 18. Birdsong and maybe the call of a soaring buzzard will accompany your search for Easter clues amid the wide and open landscape.
There is plenty of space to sit and enjoy a hot drink or alfresco lunch from the café afterwards.
Winkworth Arboretum (pictured above) hosts trails from April 2 to 18. See 40,000 daffodils bursting into bloom while the trees in Magnolia Wood are covered in waxy white and pink flowers.
Sniff out the citrussy, floral scents of spring and admire springtime reflections in the lake. Then have a well-earned sit down while the kids explore the Tree Adventure play area.
