All Hallows Catholic School in Farnham has reported “fantastic results” achieved by its Year 11 students in their GCSE and Level 2 BTEC exams this summer in the first set of externally examined qualifications since 2019.

The results continue to improve from the 2019 results, with an outstanding 88 per cent of grades awarded 9 to 4, 39 per cent of grades being 9 to 7 and 82 per cent of students achieving five GCSEs including English and maths.

Jacob Cryer achieved 9s across all his subjects, while Edward Bradley, Donal Kunnummel, Freya Rawnsley, Robert Ridley and Teodora Sion achieved all 9s and 8s.

Head of Year 11 Mike Corrigan said: “The results are a great achievement for all the students. They have worked incredibly hard to overcome the challenges of Covid and it is not easy being the first year to go back through the external exam process.

“They have taken it in their stride, and I wish them all the best with their next stage of their education.”

Head of upper school Victoria Milnes said: “It was lovely to share the successes of the students with them and see the joy of their hard work paying off.

“The dedication they have demonstrated towards their GCSEs and BTECs has put them in a fantastic position for the next stage of their journey.”

Headteacher Mark Baines said: “The All Hallows family are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students. We thank the dedication of all staff who have taught and cared for them, and to the parents and carers whose love has supported their child throughout the past five years.

“We were also delighted to see the high numbers of students enrolling into the college to continue their studies at All Hallows.”

The College at All Hallows welcomes applications from students from any secondary school and is still accepting late applications for September 2022.

Its open evening for the September 2023 intake is on Thursday, September 22.
