THE UNIVERSITY for the Creative Arts (UCA) has risen four places in the Complete University Guide’s 2021 league table, retaining its position as the highest-ranked creative specialist in the country.

Rising four places to 44th is testament to the institution’s recurring position in the guide’s ‘top five modern universities’ in the UK, despite the challenging circumstances the university sector has been operating in.

UCA vice-chancellor Professor Bashir Makhoul said: “In recent months we’ve faced such uncertain times, so this exciting news gives me the encouragement to continue the hard work the university has been doing so far, and spurs me on to tackle the approaching challenges.

“I am delighted we not only rose four places, but retained our position as the top place in the country to study the creative disciplines, continuing to offer our students a multitude of courses in the creative arts, business and technology.

“But none of this could be achieved without the continuous and unwavering support of our staff.

“So it is with great admiration that I use this opportunity to express my gratitude for their recent adaptability, resourcefulness and commitment throughout this pandemic.”
