There’s lots of spooky Hallowe’en-themed fun to be had at Alton Sports Centre this October half-term.

A Soft Play Hallowe’en Disco will be the star attraction on Thursday, October 27, with spooky music and games throughout the day.

Places can be booked in the 10-11am under-fives session and the 12-1pm over-fives session for £5 each child at reception.

Expert pumpkin carvers are also called on to enter the centre’s annual pumpkin carving competition to stand a chance of winning a soft play session.

Visit Alton Sports Centre’s Facebook page and leave a comment with a picture of your scariest pumpkin carving to enter.

There will also be a Hallowe’en Dance Workshop on Wednesday, October 26 for children aged six to 12 years old.

Come and learn dances in varying styles and take part in fun games and activities based around favourite Hallowe’en songs and films.

Places can be booked for £42 per child by calling 01420 540040.

Swimming crash courses will take place from Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesday) next week, with staggered start times between 9am and 11.30am for stages one to five. Call 01420 540040 to book.

Get bouncing at the half-term trampolining sessions on Tuesday, October 25, from 10.15-11.15am (five to seven year olds) and 11.15am-12.15am (seven to 11 years old). Book places for £7 per session at reception.

There is a special October half-term offer for juniors on the centre’s astro pitch, with the whole pitch available to book for £20 an hour, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

And the ever-popular Top Rock Alton climbing centre will be open longer each day, offering 19 bright, colourful walls with various challenges and guaranteed fun for all abilities from ages four-plus from 10am to 4.30pm throughout the half-term break.
