Artists Fiona Pearce, Elizabeth Mikellides and Chloe Scott Moncrieff are staging an exhibition called Farnham Legends at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham from January 13 to March 9.

There will be a private view and a chance to meet the artists on January 12 from 6pm to 8pm. This will include a musical performance by The Heroes, a group of young adults from Point 19 in Farnham led by professional musician and composer Stephen Noyce.

Renowned for their bright compositions and fresh interpretations of landscape and music, the artists will focus on the Farnham area’s rich historical tapestry of folklore, music and landscape.

Expect statement pieces, artwork inspired by music, oil paintings, acrylic on canvas and digital art among the fine art medley. There will be more than 30 artworks for sale.

Chloe said: “My paintings are rhythmical visualisations, often exploring the relationship between femaleness and the land.”

Fiona said she viewed her subject matter “as a series of shapes and electric colour palettes – every landscape is broken down into blocks and verticals”.

Elizabeth added: “The intersection of music and drawing is at the core of my artistic practice, my mission being to harness the beauty of music.”
