AS soon the last lesson ended at The Butts School in Alton last Thursday, pupils and staff hurried to the hall to help run the annual Christmas fair.

Attracting lots of parents and grandparents, the fair offered plenty to see and buy, with stalls packed with items made by pupils.

There was also the chance to see Father Christmas in his grotto.

And one of the highlights was an array of coloured hampers which had been filled with goodies of matching colours by pupils which formed the main raffle prizes and helped the school raise £1,260.
