A MAN has been reported for summons following a fatal collision in North Warnborough last August.

The 38-year-old from Surrey has been summonsed (no arrest or charge) for causing death by careless driving and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 6.

The summons follows an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle accident, involving a red Ferrari F50 which collided with wooden fence posts on the access road that leads to Newlyns and Lodge Farms, on Hook Road, North Warnborough.

The incident happened at around 8.45pm on Monday, August 22.

It involved a then 37-year-old driver, believed to be Matt Cobden, from Surrey, who suffered serious injuries and an unrelated 13-year-old boy – later named as Alexander Worth, from the Winchester area, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened on the access road to Mr Cobden’s business Toy Stor-Age, a storage and maintenance facility for luxury and vintage cars based in North Warnborough.
