THE first FourFest event proved to be a huge success, with organisers now pledging to make it an annual fixture.

Held at and in aid of Four Marks Primary School, it saw more than 800 people join the fun.

Parent Teacher Association member Stuart Wood said while the total had not yet been counted the target had been to raise £3,000 for the school.

He explained the aim now was “to go bigger and better next year”.

The main stage provided “a variety of music ranging from acoustic solo acts through to awesome party covers to get you up and dancing”.

The acts included Tequila Chase, Extreme Ways and Unlimited Philosophy.

There were plenty of local suppliers offering produce, including Mr Whitehead’s Cider and Wrights Brewery, which provided the festival’s ever-popular bar for the event.

Stalls offering a variety of food, drink and activities such as the surf simulator, teacher challenges, arts and crafts and plenty of chances to win prizes also kept festival-goers happy throughout the day.
