Folk fans will head to the Holybourne Theatre to enjoy the music of Head North on November 27 at 7.30pm.

Head North is a seven-piece band playing a mix of traditional and progressive Celtic music, with some transatlantic additions and original tunes.

Traditional reels, jigs and marches are reinterpreted with a driving edge, complemented by slow airs and songs sung in three-part harmony.

The band is based in Surrey, Hampshire and Wales, but has strong Scottish roots, and regularly plays clubs, festivals, weddings and parties.

Somewhat unusually, the ages of the members range from mid-20s to mid-60s, which makes life interesting and enhances the creative mix.

Tickets, priced £12.50, are available at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/holybournetheatre
